My name is Michael Paramonti. I am originally from North-Rhine-Westphalia and since 2016 I live in my adopted country in Lahr, in the beautiful area of the blackforest.
I am often asked if my family name is original or a pseudonym. I can guarantee that it is 100% genuine due to my 100% italian ancestors.
Back in my childhood, no camera was safe from me and my curiosity of what can be done with it. I developed my skills and fascination later in the Albrecht Dürer School for art & design photography.
I find my favorite motives and themes when travelling to different locations in the world and capturing various unique landscapes. Partly some mystical places are photographed in asian countires like Indonesia, Thailand but also many times just a step or two away from my housedoor.
Another preference is my passion for gravity-sports. I am very lucky and grateful to accompany some professional and some amateur sportsmen to their competitions and shoot pictures full of action and fighting spirit. On my journeys I try to focus the different cultures, my encounter with the natives and their often very exciting traditions. These atrract me in a very mystical way.
Once I have my camera in my hand, a target and the right moods I completly forget everything around me. No matter what time oft the day or night: once I am focused I dont give up until I have captured ther very right moment. Along the way I always pay the most respect to he people and the nature and give it all the time that is needed. Often I spend many many hours to connect to the locals who are in most cases extremly friendly and cooperative.
My photo journeys have changed my mind and views to life and nature in many ways. Especially impressive where my contacts to the burmesian people, the buddhist monks and the happy and cheerful children who often live under very poor circumstances.
Some of my pictures were awarded national and international in the past few years.
